Consultations Play Park Ballyfermot
We spent two fantastic days in Dublin engaging with the locals for the next phase of development for our Play Park design. The meetings were an great learning experience to gain a deeper understanding of the site, its orientation, the prevailing winds, and it’s situation in the wider context of Ballyfermot. Such indepth community meetings are really unique in the competition phase of a project and point to a way forward for how similar competitions could be run and organised. The input we received from all groups has changed our thinking and influenced our design decision making for finalising the plan.
Thanks to the Irish Architecture Foundation for organising the meetings, and the members of Ballyfermot Youth Service & BMX Club and pupils of St. Ultans School for the inspirational and motivating meetings!
