A short documentary and remberance route through ‘de pijp’ neighbourhood to remember the victims of the second world war.

Every year, a youth organisation in the Amsterdam neighbourhood of de Pijp commemorates the victims of the Second World War. To recognise the importance of remembering the war and the traces it left in the neighbourhood.

In 2021 it was not possible to meet physically to commemorate the occasion so instead, a route was planned through the neighborhood, where people could walk a route along the important buildings that played a role during the war. Each building has a unique history and story to tell told by the different members of the youth committee.

We filmed and edited the documentary and short films and produced the drawings and animations for the different buildings.

The route enabled walkers to watch the shorter video clips via a QR code placed at key points outside the building
