Westerscheveld Vlieland
A community-led project for a small park and playground, at the end of the village street on Vlieland.
The plan was initiated by residents of a new housing development who were looking for a place for their children to play. The location was a small green space that was only used for football in the summer months. The design retains the central green space and activates the edges of the field with places to sit, places to play, native species planting and a small entrance square that connects to the village street. The project is still in development and plants still have to grow so photos to follow soon.
